At Encompass Homecare, we believe in nurturing the spirit of independence and choice for ageing Australians. While our focus is to assist those living in retirement and lifestyle villages, this is being achieved by working with some of Australia’s largest providers.
The Encompass team works hard to become an integrated part of that community, allowing for ongoing and constant reviews of a client’s needs and desires. By having staff permanently located within a village we are able to achieve a consistency of care personnel and guarantee on time services, rather than providing a window for arrival. This model also allows us to service clients outside of the village environment with the and minimise travel time and inconsistency in services.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive home and community-based services that allow our clients to live in their own homes with dignity, control, and a sense of security.
Our Philosophy
The core of Encompass Homecare’s philosophy revolves around enhancing the quality of home care coordination and service delivery. We understand that our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and our approach is to build strong, interpersonal relationships that extend beyond the individual to include family, friends, neighbours, and all relevant stakeholders. We believe in Care Partnership NOT Case Management, we work WITH clients to understand their goals needs and most of all the little things that will assist in making their lives complete. By functioning as a cohesive unit, we ensure a continuum of care that respects the individuality and preferences of each client.
Our Vision
We understand that the journey from application to receiving government assistance can be drawn out and confusing. Our vision extends from the initial contemplation stage to applying for an ACAT assessment and beyond, ensuring that each person receives services tailored to their individual needs. We will happily work with the client and family to ensure all information is captured for the initial referral and where it is appropriate will happily arrange for an Encompass Nurse or Care Partner to be present at the assessment ensuring that all appropriate information is shared, this allows for a fuller determination of needs and an additional point of contact for the client and family. Whether clients ultimately choose Encompass to provide these services or not, we are committed to providing support every step of the way

We provide a single point of contact to each client and family, your Care Partner, this person is always available to address any concerns and more importantly to work with you and the team to develop innovative care solutions for your loved one. Our promise is to deliver the highest stand of care at every step. This means constantly asking ourselves if our services, our approach, and our interactions meet the high standards worthy of our own mothers (and or fathers).
Where it all began
Our Inspiration
Dedication, compassion, kindness, innovation, well qualified, huge heartedness and, always a little extra, are the words that I hear frequently from clients and their families about the amazing team at Encompass Home Care. I would also like to mention conversation had with the daughter of one of our clients on the day her Mum went into full time care. I was driving Ginny to the airport when she said to me “Stuart, you haven’t created a home Care business”. I was horrified before she went on to say, “you have created Home Care with a Heart!”, Thank you, Ginny, for trusting us to help your Mum stay at home for as long as possible.
My name is Stuart Manifold, and I am the founder and CEO. My journey into the delivery of home-based aged care services began with the very personal challenges faced in securing adequate services for my Mum, Carolyn while she was living independently at a Retirement living Village in Queensland. This experience highlighted to me the need for a single point service provider in the industry, a dedicated provider that had qualified staff located onsite, more importantly a provider driven by HEART. Sadly, my Mum is now in residential care and her quality of life has significantly diminished. This personal experience drove me to establish Encompass Homecare, with the goal of creating a legacy for Mum and filling what I see as a vital gap in the Australian aged-care and private health sectors.
Encompass would like to thank St Ives Retirement living for believing and generously providing the opportunity to prove the model of having staff located within independent living lifestyle villages. This model not only works but allows residents to stay in their homes longer with the Encompass team becoming an embedded and trusted part of the community helping the every resident not only clients.
Being based in Villages does not mean that we have forgotten those deserving Australians still living outside in their own homes, in fact it allows us to better service them from a central location. I am available at any time to discuss your needs or those of your loved ones, and I have lived the journey. This section would not be complete without me thanking our incredible team for the work they do every day, and to say thank you to all our clients and their families for allowing us to use their images and stories.
